Corrugated walls are manufactured from cold-rolled steel sheets, providing excellent mechanical properties and superior surface quality. In hermetically sealed transformers, temperature variations during operation cause changes in the volume of the insulating liquid. These volume fluctuations are effectively compensated by the corrugated walls.
Standard production parameters for corrugated walls include panel heights between 400 and 1,600 mm, fin thicknesses of 1.0, 1.2, and 1.5 mm, fin depths ranging from 40 (35) mm up to 400 mm, and a standard fin pitch of 45 mm (minimum 35 mm upon request). This wide range of specifications ensures optimized thermal performance and structural strength.
